After morning cleaning, I went to have lunch downtown with Casey - It was a CHILLY day so we did soup and sandwiches to go from Panera. Their creamy tomato bisque is always heaven.

Today my friends are hosting a little St. Louis thanksgiving. Salicia has to work on the real holiday, Ian will be alone, Matt will be with his girlfriend's family, and Phil, Casey, and I will be with our families, but we all loved the idea of doing thanksgiving together, to appreciate friends and food, without the exhausting travel or family drama ( Read more... )

Casey and I got up at 6:15 and walked out the door at 6:45 to go vote! The polls were only a few blocks from us so we grabbed our scarves and hats for a crisp sunny morning walk to vote! Today I went to see The Hunger Games with Casey at 1pm. I thought our tickets were for the Moolah but they were actually for the StL Cinema at the Chase. After that mistake was realized we rushed over to the Central West End, found a great parking spot, dashed in, got great seats and too much popcorn, and enjoyed the film. It was a great movie! As my friends in StL take off for their respective "homes" for winter break, and I sit here continuing to work while it pours warm rain outside on this mid-December day, I find myself tapping my feet in impatience, waiting for my January trip to snowy, beautiful, mountainous, Evergreen, Colorado.
